Matchmaking & MMR
Kickdom uses a Matchmaking Rating (MMR) system to ensure fair and balanced competition. Every Ranked match adjusts your MMR and impacts your League placement.
Matchmaking Basics
Players are matched with opponents of similar MMR.
This ensures games remain challenging but fair.
The system prioritizes low latency and fair skill level when creating matches.
MMR System
MMR is a score that increases with wins and decreases with losses.
MMR determines your League placement (Bronze → Mythic).
The more you win, the higher your MMR climbs, moving you into stronger leagues.
Losing to a lower-ranked player will cost you more MMR, while beating a stronger opponent will reward you more.
ELO & League Connection
MMR directly drives your ELO score.
ELO defines your League rank (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, Champion, Legendary, Mythic).
Seasonal resets may adjust MMR to keep competition fresh.
Penalties & Fair Play
Leaving or disconnecting from a match counts as a loss and reduces your MMR.
The anti-cheat system monitors suspicious behavior to keep matchmaking fair.
Repeat offenders may face additional penalties.
Why MMR Matters
Ensures that both casual and competitive players find fair opponents.
Creates a clear path of progression: climb the Leagues, improve your team, and face stronger rivals.
Makes Ranked matches meaningful — every victory brings you closer to the top.
In Kickdom, every match matters. Your MMR reflects your skill, your consistency, and your path to the Mythic League.
