The Academy is a key facility in Kickdom, allowing clubs to scout, develop, and refine young talent. By investing in this infrastructure, managers can unlock promising youth players, train them over time, and potentially turn them into future superstars.

Upgrade Requirements & Constraints

Upgrading the Academy unlocks better scouting efficiency, higher-quality talents, and improved club infrastructure. However, each level has specific requirements that must be met before upgrading.

Scouting & Player Discovery

The scouting process occurs over several days, with each level of the Academy improving the chances of discovering high-potential talents.

  • Each search attempt consumes Magic Balls (MB), a resource that determines scouting efficiency.

  • Higher-level Academy reduce scouting costs and improve the frequency of successful discoveries.

  • When a youth talent is found, managers must spend Magic Balls to unlock them. Alternatively, they can lock the player for a set period or watch ads to speed up the process.

Probability of Finding a Youth Player:

In Kickdom, scouting for youth players follows a progressive probability system. Each level of the Academy determines:

  • How often scouting can be performed (cooldown in days).

  • The cost per scouting attempt (Magic Balls - MB).

  • A progressive detection chance increasing with each failed attempt.

Regardless of the level, if a youth player is not found, the detection chance increases as follows: 10% → 20% → 30% → 50% → 100% (after 5 searches).

Youth Player Progression & NFT Mechanics

Once a young player is discovered, they are assigned a base rarity depending on the Academy level. Players can choose to:

1️⃣ Keep the player as-is → Maintain original stats. 2️⃣ Re-roll (costs MB + Ads) →

  • 50% chance to get an equivalent-level player.

  • 20% risk of losing the NFT and obtaining a chest.

  • 30% chance of upgrading to a higher-level player.

Each Academy level unlocks better potential talent, with:

  • Higher-level players having better starting stats.

  • More consistent rewards when re-rolling or upgrading players.
